Hercules Wolf - Chapter Three: "The Fear is Real"

Furs watched from the shore as the mighty wolf pulled backwards against two huge ropes...each attached to large ships just off shore in the ocean.  His muscles bulged to unbelievable size and definition...his bare chest heaving as sweat dripped off his grey fur in the sunshine.  His leg muscles were seemingly big as tree trunks...massive thigh and quad muscles and cannonball-like calves pumped and flexed as he took a few steps backwards an iron-like grip to the ropes.  His biceps swelled and seemingly larger than some fur's heads pumped as he tug at the large ropes, thick veins snaking their way along the forearms and biceps and streaking like lightning flashes along his incredibly sculpted and broad shoulders and along the tops of his thick pecs.  The hulking wolf grunted and gritted his bared teeth, sweat dripping off his short dark hair and face fur.

Inside the two large boats, drummers beat fast to their large drums as furs (one each per boat) shouted instructions for the boat rowers to row...row...row!!  No use...all of their combined effort could not row the boats loose from large ropes being held by one wolf...one incredible wolf...a wolf with the strength of ages...God-like strength who eventually pulled the two boats back to shore to the cheers of the many furs watching him do so.  He dropped the two large ropes and took deep breathes...his massive chest heaving with each breath and he turned and flexes his enormous arms to the delight of the young pups who cheered their hero.

------

The female fox's eyes were wide as Kai told her the story of one of Hercules' great feats.  Hercules grinned and crossed his huge arms.  "That's how the village was able to keep it's treasures from the bandits.  The deal was struck that if Hercules could prevent them from rowing off with it, it was theirs to keep...if not though, the village would keep it and the bandits could never return."  The female fox nodded and looked over Hercules' powerful arms.  "From what I saw him do earlier, I believe it.  He handled those males as if they were mere bails of hay...tossing them around like such...and he does have impressive muscles."  Hercules blushed a bit at that.  "Kai always recites my deeds to others...but, I fear my legend may be bigger than I am from how the tails get passed around to others...two ships became twenty."  Kia grinned at that.  "You could do it though right?"  Hercules just grinned and flexed his shredded right arm and winked at him...the female fox's eyes went even wider seeing the size of Hercules' flexed bicep.

Hercules relaxed his arm.  "Our thanks to you and your father for the hospitality for the night...I did not know your father was the bear in the tavern."  The female fox nodded and smiled.  "Yes, he's very protective of me and what you did in there was something that we could not repay you for enough, but to keep you and your friends at our house for the night as our guests...and to give you a new shirt...I never knew a wolf who could fit into one of my father's shirts...you are indeed very large."  Hercules grinned and looked down at the dark green shirt he wore that hugged his massive frame very well.  "Yes, well I...keep in shape pretty good."  Kai nudged Faar.  "Indeed...lifting logs and boulders and beating bandits to the ground does work muscles well."  Hercules narrowed his eyes at the two and grinned sheepishly.  "I could work them by lifting you two up and down instead?"  Kai chuckled nervously.  "I...um...think it's time we get to bed...we need rest and have a long journey to go yet."  Hercules and Faar nodded in approval to this.

--Inside the large building on top of the evil mountain--

Fredrick was sitting on a large chair by a roaring fire in a huge fireplace giving heat to him on this cold night.  He was content with himself.  Word of his armies winning more battles earlier that day and bringing more land and workers to him made him very pleased.  However, a voice from the fireplace came to him and interrupted his calmness.  "Do not be too content with yourself! Your armies won but small battles today.  Do you not understand what I've told you before!?"  Fredrick chuckled a bit at this.  "About this so-called savior hero...Hercules?"  The voice became a bit louder and the flames in the fire grew higher.  "Fool!  Do not underestimate him...he could destroy all that you've worked to create!  Do not forget who you serve you slimy lizard!  For now he and two of his accomplices are in search of you...the great chains in the Temple of Power could not hold him, so imagine what he'd do to you?"  Fredrick gulped.  "Y...yes, I understand...I shall send some of my best bandits in search of them and will destroy them."  The voice spoke lower and the flames lowered.  "It will take more than bandits to stop Hercules...I shall send some aide of my own along with them."  Fredrick nodded and shakily drank from a cup of wine.
